Activities

The Biological Society runs a number of social events in addition to the volunteering opportunities, to give you the chance to relax, have some fun and get to know all the great people who make up the club.

Events in the past have included BBQ's, social camps, movie viewings and salsa nights, and many more great events are being planned for the coming year.

Avtivities subcommittee

If you want to get involved in brainstorming and organising events with the Monash Biological Society contact our Social Secretary Clare Keough (activities@biologicalsociety.com.au) and join the Activities subcommittee.
Anyone can be on the subcommittee, there are very few committments involved and it is a great way of becoming more involved in the club and getting your ideas heard.

Di-MO-rphic End of Year Cocktail Party and Fundraiser

The Monash University Biological Society is gearing up to celebrate the fabulous year that has been and we want you to join us at our Di-MO-rphic End of Year Cocktail Night and fundraiser! We have decided to end 2009 with a special event; our Dimorphic Movember Fundraiser – which is a joint event – a cocktail party to celebrate the year that has been, combined with a fundraiser to support our dedicated Movember team that have been working tirelessly over the month to raise awareness of mens health issues, specifically prostate cancer and depression.

Theme: Sexual dimorphism - the differences between the appearance of males and females in an animal species... you might like to come in full costume or just add a touch of male peacock flamboyance / female black widow spider homicidal tendencies to your outfit - whatever you like. If you're a rogue male lion you might even find a lovely lioness companion to complement your golden mane.

Where: On Top Bar, 483 North Road, Ormond, 3204 (Across from Ormond Station)

When: Saturday 28th of November, 8pm
