About Us

The main objective of the Biological Society is to provide opportunities to students to expand their understanding of all aspects of biology through field trips, conferences with key speakers, career seminars and hands-on conservation initiatives.

The Biological Society is also a way for you to get involved in voluntary environmental and conservation initiatives, including the Regent Honeyeater Habitat Restoration Project in Benalla, and habitat restoration at Jock Marshall Reserve right here on the Clayton Campus.

We also assist various individuals with their research such as honours and postgraduate students, alumni, faculty members and related industry bodies. This work is various and can involve working with a large variety of livings things from sharks to fungi and everything in between!

On top of all this you can meet likeminded people at our barbeques and social outings. The Biological Society welcomes everyone, regardless of whether you are doing a biology subject or not. All you need is an interest in all things living!
